Temporary Road Closure – A228 Castle Way, Leybourne, A228 Malling Road & Leybourne Way, Larkfield – 13th April 2021

Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit traffic on parts of A228 Castle Way, Leybourne, A228 Malling Road & Leybourne Way, Larkfield from 13th April 2021 for up to 1 night between the hours of 20:00 and 05:30.

The following restrictions will be in place, as detailed below.

Traffic on Leybourne Way will be prohibited from driving straight on at the A228 Castle Way crossroads into the RSPCA centre and from turning right onto the A228 Malling Road (Snodland bound).

The alternative route for vehicles travelling towards Snodland will be via A228 Castle Way (southbound) before navigating the M20 J4 gyratory to loop back onto the A228 Castle Way (northbound) towards Snodland.

Traffic on A228 Castle Way (southbound) will be prohibited from turning right into the RSPCA centre.

The alternative route will be via A228 Castle Way (southbound) before navigating the M20 J4 gyratory to loop back onto the A228 Castle Way (northbound) towards Snodland and turning left into the RSPCA Centre.

Traffic on A228 Castle Way (northbound) will be prohibited from turning right into Leybourne Way.

The alternative route will be via A228 Malling Road (northbound) before navigating the A228 Ham Hill roundabout to loop back onto the A228 Malling Road (southbound) and turning left into Leybourne Way.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial carriageway works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
