Highway Improvement

Example of width restriction on the public highway Example of width restriction on the public highway

Birling Parish Council has been working with Kent County Council and Ryarsh Parish Council to address traffic issues in the villages.

A consultation took place and residents gave their views on ideas to improve the village.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic Kent County Council have delayed any attempts to address these issues with parishes until March 2021.

In the meantime, Birling Parish Council have continued to lobby KCC to improve safety and can confirm that County Councillor Sarah Hohler is working to install safety measures in Stangate Road, Snodland Road and the Holly Hill area.  When more information is available this will be shared on our website and social media channels.
