We recently wrote to our MP about the poor postal service in Birling. He wrote to the Chief Exec of Royal Mail...we will let you know the response when we have it.

Here is his letter to Royal Mail...

Dear Mr Thompson,

Please find enclosed a copy of a letter I have received from Mrs Jacquie Westwood, Chair of Birling Parish Council.

As you can see, Birling Parish Council and residents across the parish are concerned about the consistency of deliveries in the parish and I would appreciate it if you could address how frequently post is being delivered to properties given the importance of receiving mail in a prompt matter for residents expecting post. I would be grateful if you could answer Birling Parish Council’s concerns and let me know what steps you are taking to resolve this. In addition, I would be keen to know why the collection time from the village post box has been changed to early in the day without notification to the Parish Council.

I look forward to hearing back from you. Best wishes Tom Tugendhat
