Birling Road Road Closure 7th - 18th June

Temporary Road Closure – Birling Road, Leybourne – 7th June 2021

Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Birling Road, Leybourne from 7th June 2021, with estimated completion by 18th June 2021.

The road will be closed at the junction with Bannister Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

It will be necessary to temporarily suspend the one-way Order on Bull Road at the junction with A20 London Road, to allow for diverted traffic.

The restrictions will be in conjunction with three-way temporary traffic signals on A20 London Road.

The alternative route for traffic travelling on Bull Road is via Bull Road, A228 Leybourne By Pass, Ashton Way, A20 London Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for traffic travelling on Bannister Way is via Hawley Drive, A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, Leybourne By Pass and Bull Road.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while electrical connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
