Kent Mineral Sites Plan Options - Consultation
Early Partial Review of Kent Minerals and Waste Local Plan - Consultation

I am writing to remind you of Kent County Council’s current consultation on two Planning documents:

Kent Mineral Sites Plan Options

Partial Review of Kent Minerals and Waste Local Plan 2013-30

These documents are concerned with the identification of sites for the supply of minerals and a review of the adopted Kent Minerals and Waste Local Plan 2013-30 that concerns future waste management and the safeguarding of existing minerals and waste facilities. Information concerning the consultation, including a “Frequently Asked Questions” document can be found at the following ‘consultation portal’ website: http://consult.kent.gov.uk/portal/.
Supporting evidence documents and Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Reports have also been published to support the consultation. Since the start of the consultation the evidence base been updated as follows:
Information concerning the site areas of the following Minerals Site Options:

West Malling Sandpit, Ryarsh
Chapel Farm, Lenham
Lydd Quarry Extensions, Lydd
Assessment of the suitability of mineral site options with respect to the Green Belt.

A separate evidence addendum has been prepared that summarises the updates and this can be found on the above website.
